We provide support and assistance in preparing documentation for marriage with foreign nationals, including: Marriage between a Vietnamese citizen and a foreign national, Marriage between foreign nationals residing in Vietnam who wish to marry in Vietnam, Marriage between Vietnamese citizens residing in Vietnam and Vietnamese citizens residing abroad, Marriage between two Vietnamese citizens residing abroad, Marriage between a Vietnamese citizen holding dual nationality and either another Vietnamese citizen or a foreign national, Depending on nationality, different requirements may apply (for example, a Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage may be required, etc.). Below is the basic set of required documents applicable in general:
Support For Marriage Documentation With Foreigner
Required documents for Vietnamese (Female people at age of 18 or older / Male people at age of 20 or older)
– ID card, household registration book (certified copy)
– Certificate of marital status (valid)
– Certificate of Health issued by a competent medical examination and treatment facility certifying that he/she has no mental illness or other diseases without the ability to cognize, control his/her acts
– Application form for marriage registration using the form as prescribed
– In case of divorce or marriage annulment at a the foreign competent authority, he/she shall also submit a copy of vital records about such divorce or marriage annulment; or if he/she is an official/public employee or an armed force official, he/she shall also submit a document issued by the authority certifying that his/her marriage to the foreigner is conformable with regulations of such sector.
Required documents for foreigners (Male people at age of 20 or older / Female people at age of 18 or older)
– Passport or temporary residence card (required consular legalization for use in Vietnam, if it is not legalized, Colaw will support at the support fee)
– An equivalent document issued by the foreign competent authority certifying the foreigner’s marital status.
– Certificate of Health issued by a competent medical examination and treatment facility certifying that he/she has no mental illness or other diseases without the ability to cognize, control his/her acts
– Application form for marriage registration using the form as prescribed
